im a huge fan of crisis equestria and the audio play trailer thing was one of the greatest things ive ever heard in my life. i humbly ask for a sign that this is still a thing that is going to happen. with respect and gratitude.
Crisis is STILL going on, I promise you all. The studio hit a massive issue that needed to be dealt with and we are getting back on track! Expect a massive dump of content soon~~~
Here you go guys~~ Have a small preview of our newest project~~
I figured, I, Roy, am an OK singer but I want to get better. And you know what they say, practice makes perfect! So, I though WHY NOT DO COVERS? Tell me what you think! I have a few recorded, some acapella (aka, straight vocal) and some with backing tracks.
I’ll do just about any song you request or else I’ll just post songs I do on my own (or for singing contests like Crystal Crown (which I’m entering))
I have been following your blog and I have gotten the impression that you dislike a lot of your fanbase. When fans ask you FAQs or act in a way that you don't approve of, you respond to it by adressing the fans directly. In these situations, however, you have a certain level of condescension and anger when you have adress it. I'm know you have your reasons and I'm not against you for it. But, why do you sometimes have a certain level of hostility towards your fanbase? Just wondering.
When the question they’re asking was literally just answered a single post ago, it’s a little frustrating. There are other times when people come to us and try to ask us really tried questions (‘hi I can voice act 4 u’ ‘hi do u need a writer?’) which is a red flag that they’re not really interested in our work anyway, but just want someone to animate for them. The worst case is when people start acting like we’re obligated to do things for them, demanding things of us or asking really offensive questions, and that’s when we get hostile. By no means are these a majority of cases, however. Most of our fans are pretty patient and reasonable.
Our primary focus is not and never has been on pleasing the fandom or fanbase. We just want to do what we know best, and want to try and make things that are legitimately worthwhile. It’s great when people like them, and admittedly is one of our goals, but our first and foremost goal is just producing a story.
As a fellow animation studio, I know where you’re coming from with the repetitive questions and try-hard-ish requests. However, lashing out in anger and frustration at these fans does no one any good.
Also, Just found interesting your take of being an animation studio. It’s essentially a medium of expression of its components, yes, but the purpose of animation, literature, music… any fine art really, is and will always be for the entertainment of others. its what the industry is. If your main goal is not to make something enjoyable for others, then what IS your goal?
